Chabot Canyon Racquet Club is an active and friendly "home away from home" for tennis players nestled in the beautiful Rockridge area of Oakland, California. We are a member-owned non-profit with much to offer our membership, all at surprisingly affordable monthly dues. Our club has six lighted courts, private and group tennis lessons, socials, a ball machine, racquet stringing, a small pro shop, gorgeous clubhouse, friendly staff, fantastic tennis pros, and much more.

Wendell Pierce, Senior Tennis Pro

Since he began teaching at the Chabot Canyon Racquet Club in 1988, head pro Wendell Pierce has built a solid reputation as an instructor and a player.

In addition to teaching, Wendell has continued to compete, reaching the USTA National Mens 45 #1 ranking in 2000, and being voted the USPTA's Northern California Senior Player of the Year two years running, in 2003 and 2004.

More recently, Wendell has received the following honors:
