Club Rules
Enforcement of club rules and
policies is the responsibility of members and staff alike. Though many
members are owners, staff are directed by the manager who acts under the
direction of the board of directors. The board of directors has approved
all policies and rules. The following house rules
have been established to ensure the welfare of our members and Club. It
is our intent that these policies be kept to a minimum but that all
issues and circumstances which impact our integrity, image, and member
satisfaction be addressed.
All members and their guests are subject to the rules, regulations,
and fee structures of the Club as they may be established and modified
from time to time.
The Club reserves the right to refuse service to anyone whose conduct
is deemed by the Club to be detrimental to the Club.
The Club serves as a retreat and seeks to preserve the privacy of
it's members. Therefore, members are not paged for telephone calls. Club
Staff will accept messages for members and will make every possible
effort to assist in locating a member who has been called.
All membership changes must be made in writing to the club.
All dues and charges must be paid by the 20th of each
month. Member accounts 60 or more days in arrears will be suspended
resulting in a loss of use of the facilities.
Lessons must be scheduled directly with the professional staff.
Failure to give at least 24 hour notice of a lesson cancellation
subjects you to half the cost of the lesson.
Chabot welcomes tennis enthusiasts of all ages to join and use our
facility. However, children must be responsible for themselves, as
office staff is not able to provide supervision, transportation or
entertainment. We recommend children under age 12 not be left at the
club without parental supervision.
No member may provide, or solicit to provide, to other members or
guests any for-fee services relating to the provision of private,
semi-private, or group/team tennis instruction or clinics. All such
services are provided solely by the Head Professional of the Club and
his/her Associates.
Courts and court reservations are for the exclusive use of members
and their guests. For court usage, reservations may be made up to three
days in advance, four days for equity members. Singles courts are
allotted one hour, doubles courts one and one half hours. Only one
reservation per member per day will be accepted.
Members may reserve a court for the ball machine up to 24 hours in
advance. One half hour reservations are accepted for off hours only.
Prime time use of the ball machine is on a walk-on basis only.
If you are unable to use your court reservation please notify the
office. Failure to register within ten minutes of the reserved time
results in forfeiture of the reservation if other members are waiting to
use the court. Beginning Oct 1st 1998 a $5.00 fine will be
charged to your account for failure to cancel unused reservations.
Members and guests must check in with the Club Staff prior to
assuming their court. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the
court.
Guests of members may visit or use the Club provided they are
accompanied by the member and pre-registered by the same. Guest policies
are for the protection of all members and the violation of the policy
can result in the membership suspension. Guests are subject to a guest
fee. Guests may not reserve courts. Guests may play up to four times per
month.
We request that members and their guests wear appropriate tennis
attire. Cut offs, running shorts, muscle shirts, and black soled shoes
are specifically prohibited. Only smooth soled, regulation tennis shoes
are allowed on the courts.
Please do not walk across any occupied courts when taking your
assigned court.
Please keep game commentary, and other expressions of feeling
regarding your tennis, suitable for the ears of those playing around
you.
The only beverage allowed on the courts is water. No glass is allowed
on the courts.
Members are responsible for the behavior of their guests. |
